Vincent Van Gogh's mother had a still born before he was born but his mother also named Vincent and he had to grow up with his own name on a grave. When Vincent was in Arles he was wanting to be a minister. Van Gogh became influenced by Japanese art and began studying eastern philosophy to enhance his art and life style.He dreamed of traveling to Japan but Toulouse-Lautrec told him the light in Arles is just like the light in Japan.
